P-O Elementary League

The Pre-K-K Program will be an 11 Week Program to introduce the concepts and fundamentals of basketball. All practices and games will be held at the Philipsburg Jr High School.

Practices: Pre-K-2nd Grade (JR High) will mostly practice and play on Sundays at the Middle School. There maybe a few practices at PE but mostly they will be at the MS. There was 6 teams last season. They will play each other once each week. The coaches will send out information on practice times and game times. The games will be Live Streamed as well. You will need to buy a subscription for the NFHS System. If you already have an account with them from watching other HS Teams online, you will not need another one. There will not be a Select Team for this age group and they will not travel to play other schools or teams. This is strictly for their development and for them to have fun. Food Booth: The boosters will be running a good food booth with snacks and drinks each week. WORKING IN THE CONCESSION STAND IS A REQUIREMENT FOR EACH PLAYERS HOUSEHOLD. NOT DOING SO WILL AFFECT A PLAYERS PLAYING TIME OR ASKED TO LEAVE THE PROGRAM.

Practices: Will mostly have practices at OME, PE or the MS twice a week and games will be at the MS. We will also have a Select Team which will play at the YMCA, Tyrone Armory, East Hills (Johnstown) and practice at PE or MS. The Select Teams (2nd Grade through 6th Grade) will compete at the YMCA, Tyrone Armory, East Hills (Johnstown) and at the MS. The players will be selected by their Team Coaches the first week. Practices: Saturdays and Sundays (Twice a week until the season starts then once a week). Games are on Saturdays at the MS. 3rd/6th will have a league and the same for the Pre-K/2nd Graders. 3/4th Graders will have a Select Team. Live Streaming: The games will be Live Streamed at our school. All the games will be at the MS. Food Booth: There will be a Food Booth and a small fee each week to watch the players play.

All parents will be asked to help with this major event each season. It is a requirement that you help support, work and promote the event. Players may lose playing time or asked to leave the program, if parents chose not to support this event each year.

P-O Elementary (Playoffs) Feb. 2026 — At the end of the P-O season we will have an all day tournament (Playoffs and Championship) for 3-6th Grade.

Pre Registration FREE (7/6/26–8/6/26) for Pre-K-K, then $1.00 (8/6/26–9/1/26). Pre Registration $45.00 (7/6/26–8/6/26) for 1st–2nd, then $55.00 (8/6/26–9/1/26). Pre Registration $70.00 (7/6/26–8/6/26) for 3rd–6th, then $80.00 (8/6/26–9/1/26). Registration fees are due by no later than Thursday, Oct. 1st, 2026. Make check payable to Mounties Youth Basketball.
